Sarah’s talent as a music teacher is deeply rooted in her education in jazz piano and her many years of professional experience across song writing performance theatre and music direction.
Her jazz training gives her a strong foundation in harmony rhythm improvisation and listening skills allowing her to teach music as a living flexible language rather than just notes on a page.
Years spent writing music and working in performance and theatre have shaped her ability to communicate musical ideas clearly adapt to different learning styles and help students understand both the technical and expressive sides of music.
Her experience in music direction brings skills in leadership collaboration and musical storytelling into every lesson helping students grow not only as musicians but as confident creative performers.

Sarah regularly organizes and prepares her students for recitals where they can present and experience their musical progress in a live setting both collaborating with other students and performing solo pieces.

In 2024 Sarah launched a song and video production project Uptown Music.
Uptown Music offers her students a first hand and interactive experience in bringing their music studies to life creating fun videos that highlight their present progress offering a lasting snapshot of benchmarks in their journey as developing musicians and performers.
